Katy E. Luchansky

Katy E. Luchansky focuses her practice on protecting and advocating on behalf of injured workers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Stern & Cohen, Katy was an attorney at a Philadelphia firm, focusing on representing injured workers in Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation claims. She also worked at an insurance defense litigation firm in Philadelphia. In 2021, Katy decided to return to plaintiffs’ work because of her passion to fight for the rights of injured workers.  

Katy earned her law degree from Villanova University, Charles Widger School of Law in May 2019. During law school, she was on the Environmental Law Journal and focused her courses on civil litigation and dispute resolution. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas P. Rodgers in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas as well as for the Honorable Elizabeth T. Hey in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is an active member on the Diversity and Inclusion committee of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Katy graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a minor in English. During her four years, she was a member of the Varsity Swimming Team, competing in middle distance freestyle events. She was an NCAA Division I All-American in the 4x200 Freestyle Relay and earned Academic All Big Ten Honors every semester of her college career. Katy’s work ethic and competitiveness led to her accomplishments as a collegiate student-athlete. Those same attributes, coupled with her passion for protecting the rights of injured workers, are the driving force motivating her to be the best lawyer she can be.
