Kevin Poursaied is a Philadelphia workers’ compensation attorney at Stern & Cohen, P.C., where he represents injured workers throughout Pennsylvania. Before joining the firm, he spent more than four years as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens, New York, trying felony cases before juries and guiding injured crime victims through the legal process. Kevin brings that courtroom experience to every workers’ compensation claim he handles.

Legal Experience

Kevin began his career at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in New York City, which serves about 2.3 million residents and two major airports. As an Assistant District Attorney, he personally handled hundreds of cases and carried an average caseload of 70 felony matters at a time. He managed felony cases from start to finish, including grand jury presentations, discovery, plea negotiations, motion practice, and trial. He has both first-chair and second-chair jury trial experience in New York Supreme Court.

Kevin investigated cases alongside the NYPD, the Port Authority Police Department, and other law enforcement and government agencies. He worked closely with forensic experts from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and regularly reviewed hospital and clinic records documenting victims’ injuries. He also worked extra night and weekend shifts in a supervisory role in the arraignment courts.

Throughout his career, Kevin has worked face-to-face with people recovering from serious injuries and guided them through every stage of their case. He came to Stern & Cohen to keep advocating for injured people and to return to the Philadelphia area, closer to home.
